Candle Burning Safety Tips

Keep the Glow, Safely

Your Trueheart Candle deserves its place of honor. Place it on a heat-resistant surface, away from flammable items like delicate fabrics or books, ensuring it’s free to shine without risk.

Never Leave the Light Alone

Let your candle be a companion in your space. When it’s burning, you should be nearby to enjoy its warmth. Never leave it unattended, and always extinguish the flame before leaving or heading to bed.

A Sanctuary, Free from Tiny Hands and Paws

Candles are a gift of light, not a toy. Keep them out of reach of children and pets, so the warmth they bring remains a peaceful presence in your home.

Trim for Beauty

Before each lighting, lovingly trim the wick to 1/4 inch. This small act ensures a bright, even flame, free from soot or flickering—keeping your candle glowing elegantly throughout its life.

Long, Luxurious Burns

For the most even and luxurious burn, let your candle’s wax melt fully to the edges during each session (typically 2-3 hours). This prevents tunneling and ensures your candle burns to perfection. However, to preserve its elegance, limit burning sessions to 4 hours.

Guard Against Drafts

Your candle deserves tranquility. Keep it away from drafts, fans, and vents to maintain a steady, luxurious burn that creates soft and radiant warmth in your space.

Snuff It Out with Love

To retain your candle’s smooth finish and prevent splashes, gently extinguish the flame using a candle snuffer or the candle lid. This is the most elegant way to end the evening, avoiding smoke and soot.

Cherish the Last Glow

When only 1/2 inch of wax remains in candle jar, it’s time to say goodbye to your candle. Extending its candle life too far risks damaging the container or overheating the wax.
